The Body Scrub Guide: How Often, How Gentle

A good scrub does two things at once: it lifts away dead skin and it prepares the skin to absorb what comes after. A bad scrub does one — it strips.

How often should you exfoliate?

Two to three times a week is enough for most skin. Sensitive areas — bikini line, underarms, inner thighs — prefer once a week with a lighter touch.

The right pressure

Circular motions, light pressure, warm water. Rhyle's cushiony texture does the work; your hand only guides it. If your skin feels tight after rinsing, you were too heavy-handed.

Signs you're overdoing it

  • Redness that lasts longer than an hour
  • A stripped, squeaky feel after rinsing
  • New sensitivity to your usual lotion

Finish, always

Never leave freshly exfoliated skin bare. Lock in the reset with Avenael while the skin is still slightly damp.
